Like Science? Enjoy teaching? Love learning new things? You probably have a lot in common with Reyne Pullen; Chemistry Educator, Science/Maths Teacher, and Science communicator. Reyne’s research has focused on implementing and measuring the performance of alternative teaching approaches for tertiary students in the chemistry laboratory. While finishing his PhD in Chemistry Education at the University of Tasmania, Reyne engaged in a wide variety of Science Communication opportunities. Some highlights include the New Zealand International Science Festival, Young Tassie Scientists, Tasmanian Youth Science Forum, the Festival of Bright Ideas, Science Investigation Awards, and numerous fairs and events around Tasmania, Australia. In the past year, Reyne has branched out to teach Science and Maths at the Secondary School level. Though very new to sharing his experiences through writing and pictures (see the Instagram and Twitter links above!), you can expect to hear more exciting Science and Maths stories in the future!
